It is hard to fathom that we are already in the middle of the year. As I looked back to last year, the memory most pronounce in my mind is that of fear and uncertainty. For those of us who were hit with Covid, the year 2020 will be sealed in the memory of our conciousness in a powerful way.
In the middle of the 2021 year, we still have many tears to shed every time we hear of one more student, one more pastor who was a victim of the pandemic. Yet, the Latin American church has been resillient and believers long to hug and be hugged once more.
In the next 40 days, the ProMETA team and our students will engage in 40 days of prayer through the region. Last night we began in Costa Rica with a wor of meditation by Keith Anderson in the first book of Nehemiah. The focus of the prayer throughout these 40 days will be the leadership of the local church in Latin America. May the Lord hear our prayer and may He strengthen the body of Christ through this pandemic.
Thank you for praying with us for our chruch pastors and lay leaders in Latin America and Europe. A region in distress as we continue to face the uncertainty of the pandemic.
